My daughter is turning 23 this week! She lives on her own and is all grown up (mostly). I miss her SO MUCH and don’t get to see her as often as I would like because we both work a LOT. When we do get together we have a great time because we both have a similar sense of humor and we like many of the same things like vintage shopping and alternative music. We both have a serious love obsession for Marie Antoinette inspired looks and we share the same favorite color (almost). Mine is a shade of turquoise that is a bit darker and more green (like the words on my blog!) while hers is lighter and more blue (like Tiffany blue). BUT, we both love turquoise. I love my daughter so much and I want to make her birthday very special, so even though I am NOT a baker by any means, I want to attempt to make her a Fancy, Marie Antoinette Inspired, Turquoise Cake and Tea Party! I know she will love it if it turns out as good as it looks in my head and on pinterest! Stay tuned to my follow up posts with the successes and/or the failures as I embark on this endeavor.
Here is what I am imagining . . .
I want to go thrift shopping and get some beautiful accent pieces to tie in the decor with all the most beautiful, vintage finishing touches. And fresh flowers are a must of course! Here is what I have in mind to inspire me. . .
Perhaps I could get the exquisite team from the Wedluxe site to replicate this amazing and perfect set up for her. . . (sigh) So lovely! Just like my daughter.
*I picked these pictures up from all over the web on image searches and did not find their actual original sources. If you are a contributor I would LOVE to give you a credit. Please leave me a message in the comments or e-mail me so we can work out the details.

So funny. Last night my daughter and I were picking out a colour for her upcoming graduation and turquoise was it! Bookmarking to show her later.
