Meal Planning Success of Failure?
Meal Three.

Slow Cooker Orange & Rosemary Chicken
4 – 5 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken
2 vidalia onions, quartered
3 – 4 whole, peeled garlic cloves
1 orange, peeled and divided (I used a can of Mandarin Oranges)
Lawry’s Seasoning Salt
rosemary
pepper
Serve with Rice
Layer the onion, garlic, oranges in bottom of crock pot.
Add chicken ( I cut it into large cubes )
& sprinkle w/ seasoning salt and rosemary.
Cover and cook on high 1 hour, then low for 8 -10 hours.
Make a pot of rice.
So, I made this and ended up having 2 bags to
freeze for my family of 5.
I took the bag from the freezer the night before to
thaw in the refrigerator.
I put it in the crock pot on “auto” and left it for 8 hours.
It was cooked perfectly, but it looked horrible…
stuff separated in the liquid…eeew.
So on a whim I made two boxes of fried rice, added extra veggies
and mixed it into the crock pot with about 5 splashes of soy sauce.
SO was it a success or failure?

BoBeather
I did not know you did all this! What a cool deal… so after these 3 successes would you say the work you did before hand was worth it?
Jenny at dapperhouse
Yes BoBeather…it is worth it BUT the problem I ran into that I dont know how to remedy is that many of the dishes I made, even on “low”, cooked too long and I threw many of them out 🙁 I need a crock pot with a timer for start and stop times!
