Toyota lent me a Camry XSE to drive and I cant wait to share all about it! When the guys at Drive Shop dropped it off I learned about the safety features and while driving it I was able to learn about the FUN features!! I took pictures too so you could get a good idea of what the car looks like and how big the trunk space is. I know you are going to love it as much as I did. Here’s why. . .
Safety Features
You can see that it was a rainy day with slick roads so the safety features were important to me. For overall driving safety I like that you can set a range on the car so that when you get too close to the car in front of you an alert happens to cue you to stop right away! There are also warning lights in the side mirrors that alert you to a car in your blind spot before you change lanes.
The Camry comes standard with the Star Safety System: Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control, Anti-lock Brakes, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Brake Assist and Smart Stop Technology. It also has 10 airbags and an anti-theft alarm system!
Internal Features
Touch Screen Display and Controls for Audio (satellite radio), Bluetooth, Phone Pairing, Navigation and other Multi-Information. Back up Camera. Sporty leather interior with cool contrast stitching. (There is a special edition that has blue contrast stitching, but I really loved the red on black stitching in the one I drove.)
Heated seats. 4 Way Power Drivers Seat. Dual-zone Climate Control. Smart Key System with Push Button Start. Hands free cell phone calling. (I didn’t have the opportunity to really use the paddle gear shifters on the steering wheel, but that option is available too!)
Exterior Features
I love the sporty look, spoiler and 4 doors. There are very cool colors available (I drove one of the silver options). It has LED Low/Hi Beam Headlamps and Daytime Running Lights. On the nice days I absolutely used the Power Moon Roof (a must have for sure).
I have to brag about the trunk because it is incredibly spacious! My son asked if he could have a sleep out in the trunk because it was “so big and fun”. (ha ha) But whatever you have to transport, you can certainly do it in the Camry!
One other feature that I have to mention is the Entune system. You download the app to your phone (Android, iphone and Blackberry) and it pairs up on the touch screen in the car. It allows you to order movie tickets, make restaurant reservations and stream music all from your dashboard. You can use your phone completely hands free and use your Siri function without even looking away from the road with the voice recognition system.
