A wrinkle in Time is an iconic science fiction fantasy book published in 1962. Disney did a television movie adaptation of the book in 2003 but now they are back to do it bigger and better than ever in a major motion picture set to release in March 19th 2018.
Family Movie Update – A Wrinkle In Time
As the story goes, Meg’s scientist father disappears following the discovery of a new form of space travel so 23 year old Meg her brother, and her friend must join three magical beings – Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which – to travel across the universe to rescue him from a terrible evil. The children then travel to the dark planet of Camazotz, which has “given in” to the Black Thing so they are all under the control of a single mind. At the planet’s headquarters, they discover a red-eyed man with telepathic abilities who can cast a hypnotic spell over their minds. He claims to know the whereabouts of their father and takes Meg and Calvin to the place where Dr. Murry is being held prisoner because he would not succumb to the group mind.

The cast of characters includes: Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis, Mindy Kaling, Storm Reid, Reese Witherspoon and Oprah Winfrey.

I had heard of the book, but didn’t realize Disney was making it into a movie! I guess I know what movie we’ll be seeing in March!

I cannot wait to see this. I might be more excited for it than my kids! I loved this book when I was a girl, and I love the way they’ve translated it to the big screen (so far, anyway).

I do recognize this name from a book! I never read it, but now that I read the synopsis – I want to read it, and see this movie. I love this genre too. The cast of the movie is so talented!
