Years ago when My son was in Kindergarten, his teacher gave him a book for the winter holiday (we celebrate Christmas). It was instantly a favorite story of ours and over the years we have shared this book with so many children. Once we finally got some good snow here in Illinois this year, I shared this book with the preschoolers where I work and they adored it as well. Here is a video of me reading the book so that you can share it with your child! I have also included some photos of my son making his own snowman.
My son Builds A Snowman
With wine corks for eyes, a carrot nose, a hairband for the mouth . . .
A hat from the thrift store and a scarf that we made . . .
Golf clubs for arms and some day glo mittens. . .
and a snowboard just in case the snowman wants to have some fun
while my son is at school!
If you have fun snowman pics to share, please e-mail them to me at [email protected] and I will share them with our dapper friends!

I am so jealous of everyone else’s snow….we got like nothing this year. *sniff*

Hmmmm would he just be a “Boarding” Snowman then? 🙂
We haven’t had enough snow for snowmen around here…definitely not ones this big (or nice).

We haven’t had enough snow yet to make a snowman, but it is always a highlight of our winter season! We often use checkers for the eyes and mouth too!

We have had our share of snow here, but I still love it! What fun you guys had!

I have always wanted to build a snowman, living in Florida it has not been possible, lol. I will check out the story tomorrow when my son wakes up, it will be nice to have one read to us!
