When you compare how much our culture spends on V day compared to some country’s GNP…. Hmmm…. We don’t really celebrate Val Day. Maybe a rose and a special dessert. We try to do something special so the kids will see us appreciating each other though!
We usually don’t do much for Valentine’s Day. It’s so commercial. But we do love to go out to eat, and Italian on Valentine’s Day sure doesn’t sound bad. 🙂
It is crazy how much goes into Valentine’s Day. I know couples that go crazy over it. My husband and I have never celebrated it, we take the money we would have spent on it, birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas and put it into our vacation fund for a family trip. Now if I could just get him to take a trip I would be happy!
WoW! that is amazing! Hubby isn’t a romantic (we are finally getting married after 8 years) so we never really do anything. My girls make valentines & i usually buy myself some truffles & gorge on them. lol
More people go out to eat Italian than any other meal. That is not me. I do not go out to eat Italian on Valentine’s Day. My favorite restaurant to eat at would be Outback Steakhouse. But my I agree with getting a card and chocolates is my favorite item to get for Valentine’s Day. Also, I always love getting flowers!
INtersting how much money actually goes into a holiday like Valentines! I always thought flowers and a card were the staples! Boy, was i wrong. Me and hubby wont do much but exchange cards this year.. money is tight!
We don’t tend to make a big of Valentine’s Day, but we do try to have a nice dinner and no kids. 🙂 Something always seems to arise to throw a wrench in our plans, but we make it up and celebrate the day later.
I am sick, so am staying home after I get home from work and relaxing. Hubby has to work anyways… so we will make up for it when I am feeling better and he has a night off.

Wow! Never saw the stats on this holiday but had heard it was a money maker for retailers. Only doing a card & candy for my husband.
