Christmas Morning we were up at 2 am and to the airport by 3 am.
We waited for 5 hours to get on a standby flight so we could
visit all our MANY family members in Arizona.
All the flights are full for days so we had to leave the airport and go back home.
“Goodbye Airport. Goodbye Family”.
Christmas Night.
Retreat to my bed exhausted and missing my family.
I was hoping to wake up in Arizona and this was all a bad dream,
but I am still here and making the best of it.
I have a great reason to celebrate and be happy though. . .

Awwww! I’m so sorry you spent all those hours at the airport and still didn’t get to fly out to see family. 🙁
Happy Birthday to your son! Why must they grow so fast?! My oldest just became a Tween…I better not blink or she’ll mysteriously turn into an adult, too. 🙂

Sorry you didn’t get to Arizona, but happy birthday to your young man.

That really sucks. It’s hard being stuck at an airport when you want more than anything to be with your family. Happy birthday to your son, though. You don’t look old enough to have an 18-year old!
