This is a sponsored post by Cars.com but all opinions are my own.
I am normally intimidated when it comes to even thinking about purchasing a new car. I am not a sales-y person who is good at wheeling and dealing. I have a short temper for long waits and wastes of time. Since I do not know much about cars or car buying in general, I feel like an easy target for getting a bad deal. I began looking at Cars.com and I am already feeling more confident.
There is a lot of information on Cars.com about fraud awareness and protection. They represent both buyers and sellers on their site, so they want everyone to have the best experience. They provide a host of tips to help in identifying scammers. They have a vast section for first time buyers that explains things that you want or need to know. Some of the articles I have studied have information on how to negotiate, car loan basics, and mistakes to avoid.
Once I have studied their site for car comparisons and I get a good idea of what cars I want, I can take the app with me everywhere I go so I have a reference and guidance I trust.
Of course the Cars.com app has millions of listings for New and Used vehicles, but it also alerts me to price drops on cars I am watching. The fact that it has VIN-scanning capabilities makes me more confident than ever.
Anytime you or someone you love needs expert advice on buying a car (or just a refresher course) trust cars.com to have everything you need. Once you have found some makes and models that suit you, Cars.com give you local dealers and even help you with financing!
Make your car buying experience a smooth and confident one with Cars.com website and app.

Hands up I would always take someone with me to buy a car as I would have no idea what to look for, but perhaps with this tips I could really manage it alone!

I love this so much! I bought a new car last year and it IS intimidating! Especially for us ladies.

This is a great post for me. We are looking to buy a new car for this Winter. I am always worried about getting taken advantage of when we make such a big purchase.

We are shopping for a new car right now and Cars.com is a great place for such a big investment.

Thanks for these great tips! Buying a car at a dealership is one of my least favorite things!

Interesting idea although I’ve used a strategy of buying the car online for last 3 purchases. I pick what I want (Toyotas) and then I call 2 or 3 dealers & ask for their best offer by certain date/time … and go pick the car up.

The last time I tried to buy a car at a dealership, I had a terrible experience, and I’ve never done it again since. I bought my last two cars online and totally believe it’s the way you go. Thanks for sharing!
