Last year over the 4th of July holiday my I was in New York. I had never been there and a friend suggested that we do the patriotic thing and go there to do all the touristy things with the finale being watching the fireworks from a boat near the statue of liberty. It was such an incredible vacation and I hope to go back again. In celebration of Independence Day I would like to share a few pics with you that did not make it into my travel posts. Happy 4th of July!
We were able to go very close to the Statue of Liberty. Breathtaking.
The city building were gorgeous from our view on the water.
The Empire State Building had a beautiful red, white and blue light display.
And of course. . . the fireworks on the water!
Where are you watching the fireworks tonight?

Wow!! This looks like such a great time to visit New York. We’ve visited one time but it was the middle of winter so I would love to go back.

I actually watched the fireworks in New York on my TV last night! lol. We stayed home this year. We watched them last year, standing in the rain.

Wow, now THIS would have been a GREAT place to see the fireworks. We went to our downtown area to watch the fireworks show. I’ve been in NY during the summer months, but never for a summer holiday. Sounds like you had a great time!

Wow, we headed to Hampton Beach here in NH but would love to go to NYC someday … or even just New York for fireworks as the actual state is like a few hour drive if that, Manhattan is a five hour drive for us 😉 Loving this post, beautiful photos!
