Back when the third season of Downton Abbey began I was hearing and reading so much buzz about the show. I had not heard of it and was quite excited to see it since I love historical fiction (this one set in the early 1900’s). I am an addict of Sense and Sensibility, Marie Antoinette and the like so I knew it would be a show for me! Since this post on January 11th, I bought a subscription to hulu and have been watching every chance I get until last night when I finally finished the last episode of season two! I will admit that it is a bit too much like a soap opera with the story lines, but I do like it very much. I am so invested in the characters now that I am Super Excited to begin Season 3 to find out what happens in their lives. I absolutely LOVE the clothing that they women of Downton Wear. My favorite character is the father, Lord Grantham because he is a kind and noble man. I also like Sybil and Mary because I think that I have many similarities in our personalities. I do not like Cora and the freaky faces she makes and I do not like Bates. I know! I KNOW! I am going to take crap for not liking Bates, but he is such a weak and gloomy person! He is not willing to fight for himself yet has no problem watching everyone rally around and fight for him while he just sits there not saying anything. He should grow a pair, take a lesson from the ladies of the house, and put up a fight for the things he believes in. . . for himself and for his new bride. So here are a few pics from the show that I like. And now I am off to watch the first episode of Season 3 before bed!
