ORPHANS OF THE STORM’S 
“IRISH I HAD A HOME” 
ST. PATRICK’S DAY EVENT

 Adoption Fees Will be Waived at All Three Orphans of the Storm Locations March 15 – 17 Riverwoods, IL – Orphans of the Storm ®, one of the most well-respected and largest animal shelters in the Chicago area, is hoping to bring “the luck of the Irish” to the shelter animals and families by finding them forever homes. Adoption fees will be waived at all three locations March 15 – 17, 2019 for the “Irish I had a Home” promotion, allowing searching families to welcome a new family member into their homes, when adopting a dog or cat 6 months or older. 
Costs for final shots will still apply.
Orphans of the Storm operates three animal shelters in theChicago area: Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter located at 2200 Riverwoods Rd. in Riverwoods (Deerfield),
the Highland Park Adoption Center located at 468 Central Ave. in Highland Park (participating Friday & Saturday only) and the Northbrook Court Adoption Center located at 2171 Lake Cook Rd. in Northbrook, IL (participating Friday & Saturday only).  
The shelter recently received a generous grant from an anonymous donor that will be used to cover the costs of adoption fees, which includes:
-Initial veterinary consultation at Ruth Helen Wolf Anim
al Hospital
-spay or neutering, two weeks aftercare at our preferred
vet, initial shots
-de-worming, flea and tick prevention
– pre-surgical exam. 

During this St. Patrick’s Day weekend, the shelter will have 100 dogs and 250 cats waiting for a welcoming home. To get in the holiday spirit, the shelters will be decorated with festive shamrocks and leprechauns and surprise gifts will go home with each furry new adoptee.  
All visitors to Orphans of the Storm’s locations will be able to meet and engage with adoptable cats and dogs to find the one with the perfect personality. Participants are encouraged to bring as many members of their family as possible, other pets included, to meet the shelter animals and find the best fit for their family.
