Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; this is a phrase that you’re definitely familiar with. Your idea of a “perfect” physique will be a lot different to someone else’s ideal image. All you need to do is be a better version of yourself than you were yesterday. Small and actionable goals are much more manageable than drastic changes. Whether you’re looking to improve your core strength or simply feel more confident, achieving a perfect physique can take time. Taking action on your goals shows that you’re really serious about seeing results, so now is the perfect time to make it happen.

1.Assess Your Diet

The key to a beautiful physique is a clean and non-toxic diet. If you’re the type of person who indulges in sugar-laden snacks and takeout foods, then now is the time to quit these habits for good. Assessing your diet is the first place to start when you want to make changes to your body. You could try fat burners or consume more fat burning foods such nuts, seeds, green vegetables and low sugar fruits; this will help you to tone up your body and build lean muscle. Make a food diary and assess how you could make small and simple swaps to your diet right now.

  1. Boost Your Water Intake

A lot of the time when you reach for a snack, you’re actually dehydrated. One of the main reasons why your physique isn’t in the best shape is because you aren’t giving your body enough water on a daily basis. You should be consuming around eight large glasses of water a day. Although this might sound like a lot, it is easily achievable as long as you set yourself these targets. Carry a water bottle around with you and keep one on your desk at work. This will serve as a constant reminder that you need to drink water regularly.

  1. Move Your Body Whenever You Can

You don’t necessarily have to become a slave to the gym in order to become toned and lean. Moving your body regularly by walking more often is a surefire way to improve your fitness and create more muscle.

  1. Switch Your Mindset

Turn your negative mindset into a positive one by focusing on all of the amazing things your body can do. If you are constantly picking on yourself and finding flaws in yourself, you aren’t going to thrive and feel fabulous on a daily basis. Even if you do have improvements to make, you can still be thankful for your progress.

  1. Be Kind To Yourself

Write down ten things that you love about your body right now and this will help you to reach your fitness goals. When you see progress rather than perfection this will help you to stay focused on yourself, rather than comparing yourself to others. Avoid situations that make you feel down about yourself such as scrolling through social media unnecessarily.

  1. Write Down Your Goals

Instead of just having your goals in your head, it is so important to write them down so you can physically see them. When you write down your health goals, it becomes more ingrained in your mind. Writing things down also holds you accountable for the things you want to achieve. You can revert back to them anytime you lose faith and it will make you feel motivated again. Don’t make your goals unattainable or overwhelming or this will prevent you from making progress. Stick with small and actionable goals and you will soon see huge improvements in your mindset and physique.

Get an Accountability Buddy

When you struggle to stay on track an accountability buddy will help to keep you motivated. You can text your friend when you want to reach for the cookies or you can ask her to call you up an hour before your gym date. This will help you to stick to your goals so that you always keep your eyes on the prize.

With all of these ideas in mind you should be able to find your own way of achieving the perfect physique. During this journey, try not to compare yourself to other people in your circle. Social media can be a powerful tool when you’re trying to improve your health, but it can also be damaging. Seeing imaging of picture perfect models on your feed can be disheartening, so try to filter this sort of content out of your daily viewing. Be proud of how much you have achieved and your results will soon shine through.
