Head Over To New Balance Chicago for a Perfect Fit & Great Shoes
It is very important to support local businesses and I do it whenever I can. When I went to New Balance Chicago I found out that they are run by an independent business owner who because of his passion for New Balance, decided to market this brand in the Chicagoland area. I went in to buy a pair of shoes and left with sore cheeks from smiling and the feeling that I had a new set of friends! (SEE BELOW FOR A GIVEAWAY & DISCOUNT CODE.)
When you stop in to any of their locations, there is a Fit Specialist on staff to give you a professional Fit Analysis. They have 5 convenient locations throughout Chicago: Hyde Park, Lincoln Park, Oakbrook Terrace, Orland Park & Schaumburg.
I walked on the treadmill to demonstrate my gait.
Then went through a technological scan for a thorough analysis of my feet. I found what insole would be best for my pressure points and arches. The Fit Specialist talked to me about what I will be doing when I wear my shoes. When I told him that I mainly lifted and did cross-fit I was told that I should go with a shoe with a lower heel since this type of exercise (like squats and lunges) requires that I shift my body weight into my heels. I also had the results sent to my email to go over them again later.
I tried on two pairs of shoes and while both filled great, the Minimus 20v5 Trainer gave me more of a natural ground contact to optimize my form during workouts.
When you go in tell them that jenny at dapperhouse blog sent you and get $10 off your next in store purchase. Tell the store clerk that your promo code is #NewBalanceChi10. Offer expires 12/31/16.
