Sometimes I like to unwind and have some “me time” by
going into my basement craft room and
creating something FUN.
For Halloween I created some Altered Art Decor for the Home.
I took an old encyclopedia from the 70’s and decoupaged it with
vintage photos, antique buttons, fun papers,
rhinestones, string, pearls, silk flowers, ribbon, tulle and MORE!
This is the cover of my book
“Warlocks, Witches and Spells”

This is the inside of the book.
I glued the pages together, then added a ribbon and paper skull
for a cool effect.

I decorated the Spine of the book as well.
This book is meant to be set up or laid out as decor.

I have an antique dictionary so for this next project I used
the page with the word “halloween”.
I painted a black tree silhouette then added the moon man
vintage graphic which I painted over with oranges and greens.
I painted green Ivy to fill in the empty space near the bottom and voila!
I had a frame that I spray painted matte black and I have a Fun
Framed Art Piece to add to my Home Decor.

I have always LOVED Collages since I was a child.
I had fun making this one with everything I could find in my basement craft room.
I did this one on a dictionary page that has the word “haunt” under the
glass rectangle near the top, and an overlay of the word “witch”
highlighted/painted in orange.

This is a paper, paint and ribbon pumpkin with sticks in the center and
vintage buttons as well!

A block tower of paper covered blocks . . .

And another. . .

I spray painted an old glass and the tin bird with black matte.
I rolled paper roses and painted them orange.
Sticks, floral foam, moss and a glue gun and I have a cute little centerpiece.

I painted a silk rose black and set it in a vintage glass filled with
painted orange paper and a ribbon in tulle.
